How to Enable ADB Network Debugging on Any Smart TV

ADB (Android Debug Bridge) debugging is the official, Google-approved method to manage Android devices over your home Wi-Fi network. Enabling it does not void your warranty or alter security protections.

Universal 3-Step Procedure

  1. Unlock Developer Options: Go to Settings ➜ System (or Device Preferences) ➜ About. Scroll down to "Android TV OS Build" and press the remote [OK] button 7 times rapidly until "You are now a developer" appears.
  2. Turn On Network Debugging: Go back one menu level ➜ open Developer Options ➜ toggle "USB Debugging" and "Network / Wireless Debugging" to ON.
  3. Check IP Address: Go to Settings ➜ Network & Internet ➜ select your connected Wi-Fi or Ethernet to view your TV's local IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.50).
